Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the latest 2012 E63 AMG at the New York Auto Show with a more economical power with the existence of the automaker’s 5.5 liter twin turbo V8. The car is available in two option: 518 horsepower for the basic model of E63 and 550 horsepower with AMG sport package. That power will bring you from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph for the basic, or 4.3 seconds with 186 mph for the sport model.


That 5.5 liter engine will deliver its power through the AMG’s Speedshift MCT seven speed transmission, just like what we found on the CLS63 AMG. The engine has proved itself that it is great, but this one has something called ‘Controlled Efficiency’ mode for a stop-start function.


Moreover, beside that awesome power and performance, Mercedes-Benz claims that this sedan will be 22 percent more efficient than the previous model. In order to bring a greener feeling for this car, Mercedes-Benz has also develop an environmentally friendly power steering that saves the fuel by only using the power when the wheel is being turned. Porsche has announced another change to the 2012 Cayenne to provide the customers with more power, more efficiency, and some other options that weren’t available from the previous mode. For the power, Porsche Cayenne Turbo actually already has an awesome 500 horsepower. However if you think that it isn’t enough, Porsche is offering a kit for 540 hp with 553 pound feet of torque.


That 40 ponies and 37 pound feet improvement is thanks to the turbochargers with titanium-aluminum turbine wheels with electronic adjustments at the engine. That power will bring you from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds from the 4.7 seconds previously, with a top speed of 176 mph. The brake cooling system is also improved with the larger front discs from an optional Ceramic Composite Brakes will boost the stopping power.


There is also a significant upgrade for the diesel powered Cayenne for a cleaner diesel engine with more power but more efficient. The power has been increased to 245 hp and Ford said that the SUV will only consumes 7.2 liters of diesel fuel for 100 km. That is 32 mpg in U.S. rate. The engine improvement is also include a new turbocharger with 10 percent increase for direct injection pressure.

KIA has started to introduce a new small car to the Chinese market by introducing the 2012 K2 sedan at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car is based on the KIA Rio and will be offered in both four and five door configuration option. This car will competing with the other premium small car in the market. KIA claims that this new product is their latest effort to improve their products with what the local market want, so this K2 is specially designed for Chinese buyers.


It means that this new product from KIA will have a new set of headlights with a slightly changed grille beside some other aesthetic adjustment for the exterior. Engine wise, this Chinese car will bring some drivetrain options such as the 1.4 liter four cylinder engine. That engine is able to produce 107 horsepower. There is also the 1.6 liter four cylinder that produces 123 ponies. Both manual and automatic transmission is available, but KIA hasn’t revealed on how many gears are available.


KIA said that they will start the production for the four door K2 at their new facility in Jiangsu province this July, while the five door variant will be in the following months.

For you who are expecting that the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO will produce 400 horsepower, you might be disappointed with this bad news. The car will still producing 365 horsepower with 350 pound feet of torque with its 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine under its hood. But don’t Worry as Ford has done plenty improvements for their 2013 SHO.


Just like the other refreshed Taurus model, this SHO is also having some styling tweaks for both the front and rear side. You will see the unique mesh grille pattern in the front side and the additional rear spoiler in the back which will separate this car from the basic model. You can also see the chrome dual exhaust pipe here. A new 20 inch dark wheel will be the feet for the 2013 SHO to combine the black finish at the mirrors and body trim.


You may not see the power improvement that you expect, but actually the 2013 Taurus SHO get a new performance package. You can see it from the 3.16:1 final drive ratio. It means that the acceleration is better. It also has a revised suspension tuning feature with the new dampers and springs. The electronic steering system has been improved and the stability control can now be switched off for a track mode.

You might think that Chrysler is out of their patient to reveal their two new models prior to the 2011 New York Auto Show. The picture above is the 2011 Chrysler 200 S sedan and 2011 200 S convertible car which seems edgier than the other non-S models. It is because Chrysler has given both cars a new styling on its arm to increase the car’s visual appeal.


The 2011 200 S model will have the S-specific Chrysler’s wing badging on its front side. The side mirrors and door panels will be painted with the same color with its body, while the headlamps have a black backgrounds. As its feet, you will find the 18 inch aluminum wheels which will also have the S badge. Front headrests, heated leather seats, and suede inserts and trim will also included.


For the 200 S, you will find the familiar 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine under its hood. That engine has the ability to produce 283 horsepower with 260 pound feet of torque with an automatic transmission. Both of the car has 29 miles per gallon rate for the highway. The roof covered model will costs $ 26,790 while the drop top with $ 32,490.
